Where on the Political Spectrum, am I? An Autistic Woman's Explanation

Ah...Politics, stuff that everyone seems to argue on these days, even to the point where things get incredibly ugly. However, as much of a decent person I try to be, politics, for me, tend to be hard for me. However, after a personal experience and research, I have found a party that is right for me. Although, it's a different party than the main Republican and Democrat, in fact, along with this party, there are many other parties that many people may not know about.

How many political parties are there? What are they called?

Well, I can't say for sure on how many there are exactly, but I do know that there are many, considering how many political ideologies there are now. In fact, there is a whole chart that explain it all!

As you can see, there are many political ideologies and/or political parties in this photo that show, where a person may be politically! As for me, I believe in Libertanism, so I would be a part of the Libertarian party. Although, I am more right-leaning. Plus, being in this political party, best describes me as a person and it's good for an Autistic woman, like me, who struggles with all-or-nothing thinking.

What is Libertarianism?  What do Libertarians believe in?

Libertarians are a small political minority of people, who value and believe in personal freedoms for everyone, like the Left, but also extremely value a limited government, like the Right. For example, Libertarians believe in equal rights for everyone while also believing that the government should stay out of your personal, family, and business decisions. For more information, please go to this website, https://www.lp.org. It will give more details on what Libertarianism views and values are.

This photo displays the logo for the Libertarian party.

Why is this political party so small?

The reason for its size is due to how big both the Republican and Democrat party are that lots of people never hear about other parties like this one. Though, I think, with the way things have been lately, it's possible that this party is going to get bigger with a lot of people leaving the Left over its inconsistencies, abuse, moral narcissism, and possible terrible experiences from it like me.

Is this political party on the voting ballot?

Well, while the party itself doesn't a have a candidate to root for or have a spot itself, there is a third candidate on the ballot to vote for. Though, from what I hear, they tend to lean more towards the side of the Left than anything, which I am in no favor of doing.

How can one know if they are a Libertarian or a part of another political party?

I would say that there are two ways to find this answer out. One way is looking what Libertarianism is and see they align with your beliefs. Another way, I would recommend is taking a political party quiz and see what the results say. Other than that, there is nothing else I can tell from there. I mean you never know what party you might find yourself in, especially if you are someone who has a hard time with politics, disabled or not.

Autism and Modern Eugenics

Eugenics, an ugly disaster for any minority when it is directed to erasure a certain thing in a group of people that is unliked by the majority or another group of people opposite of those without the "undesirable" trait. This concept has happened for many years in the past, like in the 19th and 20th century, but what if I were to tell you that it's still happening today, but in more ways than one? Especially to Autistic people?      Now, I bet you are wondering what I mean by this. Well, in order to show you, we must know what eugenics is and why it is done.      So, what is Eugenics?       Eugenics is the theoretical practice that aims to create "the perfect human" through medical and, as of now, social practices that are done with the intentions to "improve humanity" through genetic quality. This can be done through practices such as conversion therapy, surgeries, unnecessary medicalization, forced sterilization, e...

The Truth on Suicide and the Autism community

Suicide? What is that word? Well, in my definition, it's an unhealthy coping mechanism that a person does when they can no longer bare the trauma or pain that they are enduring or have to heal from. However, what most don't know is that it affects a lot of marginalized groups and communities around us. For example, the Autism community.        Who are the Autism community?    We are a community filled with people that all share different experiences in living with a disability called Autism.        What are the statistics on Autism and being vulnerable to suicide or suicide ideation?    According to Psychology today, the rate for Autistic people having anything to do with suicide is higher in than their peers, who are neurotypical. In fact, from this website, it says that it was revealed that 10.7% of Autistic people, including those without a formal diagnosis, but displayed traits, died to suicide. With 41%...
