Autism, Anxiety, and Christianity, from an Anxious Autistic Christian's Journey

Christianity, one of the longest religious beliefs since the dawn of time like A.D. (Anno Domini) and B.C. (Before Christ). Though, the journey to God is a hard one for any Christian, but it's especially harder for someone with a disability like Autism or something else as well. However, after many experiences within finding the true way to God, I am now finally in the light of his truth. Now, how did I get there? Well, let me tell you!          Child            What was your first experience in Christianity?     My first experience with Christianity is when I went to church with my family. Our first church was with a non-denominational church that worshiped God. For those who don't know, non-denominational means that these are people, who worship Christ, but do not belong to a certain denomination with Christianity, like Mormon, Jehovah Witnesses, Baptist, Lutherans, etc. Anyways, back to my firs...

Autism and Relationships Myths from An Autistic woman's perspective

Valentine's day! One of many things some couples get all excited about when February comes around! However, Valentine's Day doesn't have to be for couples! We may spend some time alone a lot, but we DESPERATELY wan...

Disability History, as it's true form, is not necessarily talked about, in my opinion, but throughout my life, I have always heard about a certain place called The Central Virginia Training Center. I always knew it as a place that my maternal grandfather worked at before died young. Though, that is different from what I truly know, both in the perspective of a disabled woman with two with Autism and a mental illness and as a grand-daughter of someone who used to work there, who is learning more about it to be both close to her grandfather and to learn the horrors of that took place in that now abandoned building that is close to where I live. Though, not many people are barely aware of what took place there or what it is for that matter. So, to spread awareness, both for my grandfather's sake and the sake of sharing truth, let me tell you about this horrific from my own knowledge of what I know.  What is the Central Virginia Training Center?  The Central Vi...
