Ableism towards Autistic people is increasing, Here's why: An Autistic Woman's explanation

As some of you may know, I am an Autistic woman and I know the last thing anyone wants to hear or talk about is politics, especially Identity politics. However, from looking on social media and watching political content from Libertarians and Non-radical Conservatives like me. I have seen that there is some ableism going around in many hurtful ways. And the culprit? People on left, who go on social media apps like Tik Tok, Instagram, etc., amongst people, who think they are "loving" and "tolerant" when they really are not. What they are really doing is increasing the ableism towards Autism by making it a fashion trend, affirming delusion, sexualizing Autistic Adults and children, Eugenics, etc. Along with people on the Radical Right, who do not understand what Autism is and believing the myths. So, now, I am sure you will ask, what are you referring to? I'm glad you asked, so let me explain.

What is Ableism?

Ableism is discrimination and prejudice against people with disabilities like Autism, whether the person doing it thinks they are superior or inferior. An example would be purposely excluding someone with a disability like Cerebral Palsy, Autism, etc., from a group, class they are supposed to be in, etc., because they have a disability that they have no control over. That's Ableism, labeling someone as a High-functioning Autistic, is not.

   How is this increasing?

In many ways, both from the Radical Left and Radical Right, but first, let me show what how ableist the left is:

   Ableism from the Radical Left:

  1. Changing the definition of Autism:

Autism is short for a disorder called autism spectrum disorder, a neurodevelopment disorder that is characterized by a spectrum full of traits within the difficulty of socializing, communication, processing sensory, etc. That is what Autism really is. However, Autistic Radical Leftists are now saying that Autism is a neurotype, which is not correct at all. If it were a neurotype, then why do we need a diagnosis to figure out that we are Autistic? Answer: Because it's not a neurotype nor is it normal. Listen, we are not normal people. Are we different? Yes. Do we need to be cured? In my opinion, no, we don't, because Autism is not a disease, it is a mental disorder, not a mental illnesses like Anxiety, Depression, etc., nor is it worse than cancer. I mean seriously, I get it, hearing that you are not normal is tough to hear, especially when you don't know what it is. However, dodging the process of accepting and loving yourself as a disabled person by changing the language to make yourself happy and distract yourself from feeling what you need to feel does not help anyone. You are purposely trying to change the definition, so you don't feel disabled at all. That, to me, sounds like actual internalized ableism, which is definitely increasing some of the ableism on the left, because now you are demanding that people say that and be emotionally responsible for you, when the only person who can do that, is you. I mean seriously, look if you don't feel disabled by being Autistic, cool, however, not everyone who is actually diagnosed with ASD, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a disability and people, with possibly different or similar traits, do not feel that way, and need accommodations for what they need to do, like needing extra time for schoolwork, testing, need accommodations at the gym, etc. Although, there is more than just changing the definitions.

    2. Generalizing Autism:

The Generalizers, these are people that are not Autistic at all, but think they are Autistic just by one thing (now if you were misled by a faker, I'll get to that in a minute and did not know, then it was an honest mistake. All I ask is to just be careful next time. No need to apologize, okay?). For instance, a person, who is socially awkward, scrolls through Instagram one day. That person, male or female, finds a reel that talks about Autism. From there, that person watches it and sees something that says, "Autistic people can be socially awkward". From there, even though the person is actually neurotypical, they think they are Autistic, just because of that one thing, and go around telling people that they are Autistic. Which, listen, yes, you can be socially awkward and Autistic, but that's not all that Autism is, at all, there is so much more than social awkwardness, so no you are not Autistic, because of that, you are just socially awkward, not Autistic. This is different from Self-Id, and even with that, I would highly encourage to get a diagnosis as soon as you can, even with your barriers, even if you think you are, just please do not say you are, or speak as an authority on the topic, please disclose about your situation.

  Spreading Misinformation:

People, who may or may not be ADHD, taking Autistic traits and/or Sensory Processing Disorder, like Echolalia or repeating phrases, sensory issues, and say it's "ADHD", which I have seen a post like this on Pinterest and the sensory issues from a person I know, who is probably, unfortunately, been radicalized. Please do not do this, because it creates confusion and misinformation that is hurtful to both people who actually have ADHD or are actually Autistic, those who are actually seeking to if they have ADHD. (Again, if you did not know, it's okay.)

  Faking Autism:

The Intentional Fakers like The Neurodivergent Rebel and other people, faking Autism for clout or other reasons. In fact, an actual Autistic Youtuber named Stephanie Bethany did a video on this as well, you can click here for the video, where she gives more context on the situation than I could. Now, due to this, there have been more unhelpful things like, TransAutistic, the definition of the word is exactly what you think it is. Here's a link: Trans-autism. These ableist people literally want to be us!! Do you see how ableist this is. This makes Autism look like a choice when it isn't. TransAutism is not a thing and never will be a thing. We should not valid this, because it is appropriating an actual disorder. This is also different than Self-Id.

"Autism Gender":

The fact that we have come to a point, where Autism is now also labeled as a gender called "Autism Gender", because people are unsure of themselves gender wise, instead of doing what any actual Transexual (an adult, with actual Gender Dysphoria, an actual sexual dysfunction mental disorder, who actually puts in the work to be the opposite sex to provide relief to their symptoms), or Tomboy (a girl or woman that likes traditionally-boy-orientated things), or a femboy (A boy, who likes what is traditionally-girl-orientated things), would do, these crazy "Transgender" (basically any neurotypical pedophile that fake being Gender Dysphoric for fun, clout, whatever, and make up stuff to have a personality or feel special), have to also fake being Autistic and make my disability a gender, which is disgusting, because Autistic people struggle with it. You know what? Autistic or not, which I am sure these people are probably not, but even so, how about you're just unsure of yourself or might be Gender Dysphoric and if you are an adult, with actual Gender Dysphoria, see what you can do to help yourself if it is that severe, otherwise, adult or not, just be you! just saying! I say this, because if you are Autistic and have Gender Dysphoria, if you are an adult, then see what you can do. But there is no such thing as "Autism Gender". It is either just an actual Autistic that has a comorbidity with the mental disorder, Gender Dysphoria or someone, who is appropriating both autism spectrum disorder and the actual mental disorder, Gender Dysphoria, by spreading fake/false information, just so you neurotypicals can feel "special" when you are not. Watch the TransConservative's reel on Instagram to see what I mean.

Modern Eugenics & Sexualizing Autistic Children:

Now, like in one of my last posts, Eugenics has made a comeback, but for the erasure of Autistics, Gays, and Autistic Gays. How you say? Well, through three words, Child sexualization, mutilation, and sterilization. Like in my recent post about the Central Virginia in its early days, when it was called The Virginia Colony for the Epileptic and Feebleminded, there were many examples of forced sterilization towards many disabled people, who were 18 years old, younger or older. However, that has made a comeback under the million-dollar business, "Gender-Affirming Care". From what I learned from listening to actual Transexual conservatives like Blaire White, Sara Higdon, Buck Angel, etc., along with many LGB conservatives, what is happening is there are Pedophile/Trans obsessed people, like those who fake being actually trans, people who are actual Pedophilic Drag Queens, grooming both adults and children, under the disguise of LGBT(+) and/or Gay Pedophiles, who basically groom people by misleading adults, teenagers, young adults, etc., with lies about biological sex, what it means to be Trans or having Gender Dysphoria, even talking about sex to children.

They do this, by becoming teachers, content creators like being on Tik Tok, YouTube like Jeffery Marsh, or go to events like "Drag Story Hour", only to spread lies like, "Biological Sex isn't real" or "There is no such thing as girl or boy", etc., even lying about what being Trans by saying, "Oh, you're a girl and like blue? You are Trans," when it isn't true, which is basically using the same gender stereotypes that they claim to hate, especially their supporters who back these people up, aka. Radical Leftist, all to convince these kids that they are "Trans" or "Gender Dysphoric". Though, when they do convince them, they isolate them by telling to cut any one off who doesn't believe them or won't agree with them, even if it is their parents. They even teach them how to do provocative dances, how to twerk, and throw money at them when do like they are at a strip club. Even dancing provocatively in front of children and so much worse than that, while calling it "Family-Friendly". After that, they will convince that "they are your parent now" and encourage these poor kids to go through irreversible surgery (I mean there is no way anyone can grow genitals back, we're not geckos.), and puberty blockers, which are the same drugs used to castrate Pedophiles, which also cause so much pain to those who take them, like mental health impact, headaches, bone density changes, sexual dysfunction/fertility issues, muscle aches, insomnia, fatigue, etc. Kids should not experience this at all, especially with a lot of Detransitioners, people who regret their transition, like one Detransitioner I follow, named Chloe Cole, you can find her story here. Though along with her, there are others, coming out with their stories to speak out against this sexualization, mutilation, and sterilization being done to kids, considering it happen to them when they were that age.

Now I bet you're wondering, what does this have to do with Autism and ableism? Well, based on these Detransitioners stories, like as mentioned before, get a late diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder that explains so much of everything in their past. Knowing these, this sexualization, mutilation, and sterilization is like an attempt to erase Autism away, which is basically eugenics, in my opinion. Along with being conversion therapy for the LGB community since, according to a study, 80% of the kids, who have gender dysphoria, end up learning that they are a lesbian (female), gay (male), or bisexual (either or), otherwise they grow out of it by the time they are adults. This is why Transexuals, actual trans people, are adults, not children. Also, there always both Autistic and LBGT as well.

Attacking other Autistics, who don't agree with the narrative, or for no reason:

Now, while I have not been attacked by other Autistics on the Left, I have been discriminated by a leftist, while also not being perfect either, if you want to read about that story, click here. However, I have heard another Autistic Like other communities, whether LGBT (+) community, any race community, etc., Radical Leftists always attack those who don't agree with them, whether it's verbally by using slur words, calling people, "sellouts", through "cancel culture", or physically through stalking, violent protests, discrimination by any means necessary, etc. I see this in many videos of moderate conservatives, Libertarians, even classical liberals, no matter who they are. For example, one of my friends, who is Autistic like with conservative values, stated something against the group known in the Autism community as the Actual Autistic group, they attacked him, because what he said, they didn't agree with.

   See, the ableism here?

Now, here is how the Right is ableist:

    Ableism from the Radical Right:

Believing Myths and False information

So, unlike the Radical Left, the Radical Right keeps trying to believe in myths, debunked or not, because most of time they do not understand or do not want to accept people like me at all. One example of this is believing that Vaccines cause Autism, when they don't at all. In fact, it has been debunked as well.

Wanting to cure Autism
There are still some Radical Right people, who do want to cure Autism when there is nothing to cure. Now they can still have that opinion, but in my opinion, I will not agree with that. There is nothing wrong with me.

Other than that, I haven't seen anything else other than those things that the right has done. I may be wrong on that, but from what I see, that's it. Now, there is a lot that I do not agree with on the Radical Right, that's why I am Libertarian, not full-on Republican.

And that's lovelies! Thank you for reading this post! If you agreed or enjoyed this post, share, comment, or even follow my page at the Anxious Autistic on Facebook. My resources that are not my blog posts will be down below and with that said, I'll see you all next time!

The Comorbidity of Autism and having a Mental Illness from an Autistic Woman

Mental Health, the controversial topic when it comes to many different situations like trauma, stress, school shootings, learning about psychology and so much more. Although, many people may not know what it's actually like to experience a mental illness, whether it's Anxiety, Depression, etc. So, what does this have to do with me, you ask? Well, like the title, I have a mental illness!          What Mental Illness do I have?    My mental illness is Anxiety. I have an anxiety disorder that causes me to worry to no end to the point, where my life is nearly affected every day.      What Anxiety Disorder do you have?     I have an anxiety disorder called General Anxiety Disorder. It's a disorder, where, according to the Mayo Clinic, there's lot of constant, uncontrollable worrying. This worrying and panic, leads to a lot of symptoms that the Mayo Clinic lists on their website, these symptoms include...

Autism and Modern Eugenics

Eugenics, an ugly disaster for any minority when it is directed to erasure a certain thing in a group of people that is unliked by the majority or another group of people opposite of those without the "undesirable" trait. This concept has happened for many years in the past, like in the 19th and 20th century, but what if I were to tell you that it's still happening today, but in more ways than one? Especially to Autistic people?      Now, I bet you are wondering what I mean by this. Well, in order to show you, we must know what eugenics is and why it is done.      So, what is Eugenics?       Eugenics is the theoretical practice that aims to create "the perfect human" through medical and, as of now, social practices that are done with the intentions to "improve humanity" through genetic quality. This can be done through practices such as conversion therapy, surgeries, unnecessary medicalization, forced sterilization, e...

The Truth on Suicide and the Autism community

Suicide? What is that word? Well, in my definition, it's an unhealthy coping mechanism that a person does when they can no longer bare the trauma or pain that they are enduring or have to heal from. However, what most don't know is that it affects a lot of marginalized groups and communities around us. For example, the Autism community.        Who are the Autism community?    We are a community filled with people that all share different experiences in living with a disability called Autism.        What are the statistics on Autism and being vulnerable to suicide or suicide ideation?    According to Psychology today, the rate for Autistic people having anything to do with suicide is higher in than their peers, who are neurotypical. In fact, from this website, it says that it was revealed that 10.7% of Autistic people, including those without a formal diagnosis, but displayed traits, died to suicide. With 41%...
